1. Who we are
Sea Gambler Stays ("we", "us", and "our") runs this website and rents the homes listed on it. The business responsible for your information is Sea Gambler LLC, 2330 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134, USA. For any question about this policy or the information we hold, write to us at stays@seagamblerstays.com.
2. The information we collect
When you send a request to book, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The home, the dates, and the number of guests you ask for
- Any message you choose to send us
- The quoted total for your stay
We do not ask for, and we do not store, payment card numbers. We collect only what we need to answer your request and arrange a stay.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your information to answer your booking request, hold your dates, arrange payment, and talk with you about your stay. Under the GDPR this rests on taking steps at your request before a contract, on carrying out that contract, and on our legitimate interest in running the business and keeping proper records. If we ever email you about future stays, we will do so only where the law allows and you can opt out at any time.
4. Payments
When online payment is turned on, card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never sent to or kept on our systems. Stripe processes that information under its own terms and privacy policy. Until online payment is enabled, we arrange payment with you directly and never take card numbers through this website.
5. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers that help us run the site and your stay:
- Our website and database host, which stores the booking record
- Our email provider, which delivers our messages to you
- Our payment processor, when online payment is enabled
We do not sell your information. We may disclose it where the law requires us to.
6. Where your information is held
Our booking data is stored on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), and our email provider processes messages in the European Union (Ireland). The website itself is served from a global network, so some providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as we need them to manage your stay and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting duties, and then we delete or anonymise them. As a guide, we keep booking records for up to 24 months after your stay, and financial records for as long as the law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Limit or object to how we use it
- Receive your information in a portable form
To make a request, email us at stays@seagamblerstays.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In France this is the CNIL.
9. Cookies
This website uses only the cookies it needs to work. When the owner signs in to the private admin area, we set one secure sign-in cookie so the session stays active. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
10. Children
Our homes are booked by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Please read it again before you book.
