1. About these terms

These terms apply when you request or book a stay at a home listed by Sea Gambler Stays. By sending a request to book, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

2. Requesting a stay

When you submit a request to book, you are asking to reserve a home for the dates you choose. No payment is taken at this point. We will confirm whether your dates are available, usually within within 24 hours. Your booking is confirmed only once we accept it in writing and any amount due has been paid.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown per night in the currency listed for each home and may change until your booking is confirmed. A cleaning fee and any local taxes are shown before you submit. To confirm a booking we ask for a deposit of 30 percent at the time of booking, with the balance due 30 days before arrival. We will send payment instructions once we accept your request.

4. Cancellations and changes

If you need to cancel or change a booking, contact us as soon as you can. Our terms are: cancel more than 60 days before arrival and you receive a full refund; cancel between 30 and 60 days before arrival and you receive 50 percent; cancel less than 30 days before arrival and no refund is due. Where we can, we will offer to move your dates instead. If we ever have to cancel your stay, we will refund what you have paid in full.

5. Arrival and departure

Check in is from 4:00 pm and check out is by 11:00 am. We will send arrival details and directions before your stay.

6. House rules

To protect each home and its neighbours:

• The number of guests must not go above the maximum shown for the home
• Events and parties are not allowed without our written agreement
• Smoking is not permitted indoors
• Pets are not allowed, unless we agree in writing
• Please treat the home and everything in it with care

You are responsible for everyone in your party during the stay.

7. Damage and security

You are responsible for any loss or damage beyond normal wear during your stay. A refundable security deposit is required for every booking. We confirm the amount in writing when we accept your request, and it is due with the balance before arrival. We return it in full within 14 days of check out where the home is left as found, and may charge against it for damage, missing items, or extra cleaning where it is needed.

8. Our responsibility

We describe each home as accurately as we can. We are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for the stay.

9. Your information

We handle your information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the home is located, for example France for the Paris and Biarritz homes and Costa Rica for the Nosara home, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
